This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. March 8th, 2024, as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement. Applications are invited for a full time Bus Mechanic. Reporting directly to the Transportation Director, you will be responsible for supervising and assisting the transportation team in providing a safe, efficient and effective fleet of school buses and division vehicles.

You will also assist with recordkeeping, routing and ensuring compliance for bus safety audits. Preference will be given to a Journeyman Mechanic, however considerations may be made for a second or third year apprentice or RAP/work experience student.

Experience working within a school bus industry would be an asset. This is a full-time, probationary position to commence March 18th, 2024.
