Duties & Responsibilities

BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
• Direct at a strategic level the development and implementation of economic development policies, strategies and programmes. Strategically direct and manage provincial sector and investment development services.
• Strategically direct economic development initiatives in line with the National Development Plan and the Provincial Economic Development Strategy, Respective Economic Sector Strategies and Plans.
• Strategically direct tourism development.
• Strategically direct consumer protection and business regulatory services.
• Manage the allocated resources of the Branch (Programme) in line with legislative and departmental policy directives and comply with corporate governance and planning imperatives.
