Position for a qualified post-doctoral researcher on topic: Direct numerical simulations of supercritical fluids.

In this project, we will combine high-fidelity simulations and linear stability analysis techniques to study how the thermodynamic state affects the early stages of the laminar-turbulent transition as it approaches the critical point in canonical problems involving natural and mixed convection as well as boundary and mixing layers.

We are looking for motivated candidates with expertise in computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and linear stability techniques. The candidate is expected to present a list of publications in relevant journals and conferences associated with at least one of the aforementioned topics, and to have a PhD degree or be close to obtaining one in either mechanical or aerospace engineering, as well as related fields.
