We are seeking applications for a Farm Assistant to work out our Springston based dairy farm.

The Ashley Dean Research and Development Station is a 470-cow farm located in Springston based on roughly 200 hectares. The farm operates a 54-bale rotary shed and is irrigated by two pivots and a lateral irrigator.

Calving happens once per year in spring.

This is not your ordinary farm role. We value work / life balance in a teaching environment - you will be working an average of 45 hours per week, paid on a salary basis.

Work with state-of-the-art machinery and gain valuable skills working with experienced farm managers who are passionate about staff development and wellbeing.

Day to day tasks will vary but likely will be a mixture of :
• Milking
• Checking cows for mastitis and other issues
• Shed hygiene
• Shifting irrigation sprinklers
• Effluent management
