R175 992 to R228 432 (Basic Salary)

R281 129 to R348 901 (Total Cost to Council Package)

Job Purpose:
To perform various tasks associated with responding to and dealing with fires and emergency situations,
supervision of junior ranks, rendering basic medical care and participating in fire safety work and training
exercises as well as upholding station and equipment maintenance to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient
emergency service in order to protect lives and property of the citizens and visitors to Knysna.

Carries out fire-fighting and emergency operations by responding to and dealing with fires, rescues and
