LICHTENBURG

Epko Oil Seed Crushing (Pty) Ltd is a progressive company involved in the procurement and
processing of oilseeds, the sales of vegetable oil and related products. The plant, with a
capacity of processing 220k/MT sunflower seeds and processes which equates to 25% of the
total sunflower seed harvest in South Africa, is situated in Lichtenburg.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of this position operate the boiler in an efficient and legal compliant manner to

ensure continuos operation of the plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Operating the boiler within the design and authorised parameters 

Operating the boiler as per standards and procedures – as contemplated in the OHS

Act. 

Performing all scheduled inspections accurately 

Recording all operating parameters as per the operator checklist and operating record 

Emergency procedures and the activation thereof. 
