An opportunity exists at Timaru Hospital, where you’ll enjoy a semi-autonomous role, with our three other general paediatricians, developing a greater community focus all the while supported by excellent hospital infrastructure.

Paediatric Service at Timaru Hospital

The work involves general paediatrics in its broadest sense – from neonates to adolescents, with a large outpatient focus. This is a ‘hands on’ role and inpatient numbers are small.

With no registrars, we have junior doctors who are inspired to learn alongside a trainee intern. You will work closely with a small Child Development Team and get to know community providers well.
