Program Officer: $16,000 WST per annum

Reports to: Governing Board, (NOLA)

Direct report: NOLA General Manager

JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Competencies
• Ability to lead the development of program plans that align with project and strategic outcomes.
• Ability to think strategically and work under pressure.
• Excellent understanding of human rights treaties, particularly the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated experience in delivering projects.
• Understanding of the needs and challenges of persons with disabilities.
• Ability to draft high quality communications content including press releases and ‘stories of change’.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to deliver presentations.

Education and Experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in Program management is desirable.
• Experience in working in an organisation of persons with disabilities is an advantage.
