Ranui Livestock is a family-owned farming business running an Angus cattle and Hampshire sheep stud, alongside a commercial sheep flock. This in an inter-generational business with the Johnstone family having operated it for the last 45 years. The properties, Karamu (550ha) and Rangitautau (630ha) are 10km apart and are in the farming district of Kai Iwi, 30 minutes north of Whanganui. The properties are intensively run, and the owners continue to look at all options to keep the business operating as efficiently as possible.
