Do you have an empowering personality that can improve the way we minimise waste in Napier? Then we have the role for you! Napier City Council has a vacancy for a motivated and conscientious Waste Minimisation & Contracts Officer to join our fast-paced Environmental Solutions Team.

As the Waste Minimisation and Contracts Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving our waste reduction initiatives and managing our contracts with waste management vendors to ensure our waste contractors are delivering first class kerbside recycling, kerbside waste, transfer station services and waste minimisation education opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing waste minimisation and sustainability strategies
• Conducting waste audits and identifying opportunities for waste reduction
• Monitoring and reporting on the company's waste reduction progress
• Ensuring compliance with waste management regulations
