Advocate Printing & Publishing is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as 2nd Pressperson for our Heatset web press and Coldset web Press at our print production facility located at 181 Brown’s Point Road, Pictou, Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Production Manager, the 2nd Pressperson will be responsible for assisting with the set-up, operation, and maintenance of the press in accordance with specifications and customer requirements.

What You Will Do
• Assist 1st Pressperson by making necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to the production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work
• Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding work area
• Help coach, train, and communicate job requirements to joggers and roll stand operators
• Adhere to all production schedules quickly addressing any issues with 1st pressperson and/or manager
