Advocate Printing & Publishing is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as

1st Pressperson for our M600 heat-set web press at our print production facility located at 181 Brown’s Point Road,

Pictou, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the 1st Pressperson will be responsible for the daily operation of the press,

inclusive of directing and leading a crew in the most efficient manner possible to produce printed materials

from start to finish of a final quality product that exceeds our customer’s expectations.

What You Will Do
• Responsible for overall press operation, product quality, routine and preventative maintenance, and housekeeping
• Performs manual and machine operator tasks and directs the press crew in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of a web offset press
• Check with the prior shift for any press or running problems, and communicate the same to the incoming shift
