Summary:

The Blow Moulder Technician will operate, maintain and continuously improve the hot fill PET blow moulding machine and its accessory equipment in the manufacture of high quality PET bottles at lowest possible cost.

Job Functions:

1. Achievement of production and quality targets
• Perform pre-production activities prior to start of production i.e. machine cleaning, equipment inspection, safety check, lubrication, machine set-up and housekeeping of blowing room.
• Perform testing procedures to ensure that the blow moulding machine work optimally during operation.
• Ensure stocks of preforms are ready and available at all times
• Conduct sampling inspection of preforms
• Feed PET preforms in bins
• Operate the blow moulder machine and its auxiliary equipment according to established parameters and record any deficiencies
• Make periodic quality inspection of blown PET bottles and record any deviations against established quality standards
