Introduction

CLIENT in the HEAVY ENGINEERING MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY requires the services of a CNC MACHINE SHOP CHARGEHAND at their premises in PIETERMARITZBURG (KZN) as soon as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main Job responsibilities:

Ensure planned maintenance schedules are carried out as instructed , and where necessary assistance is given to the artisan or artisans responsible for carrying out the tasks

➢

Attend breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs in the shortest possible time

➢

Manage the CNC and machine shop team for efficient support to the factory artisans

➢

Accurately record all work done on job cards or on planned maintenance schedules

➢

Report all serious defects or defects which could not be repaired , to the section foreman or engineering manager

➢

Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant as instructed.

Undertake installation and modification of equipment and plant as instructed
