Introduction

Normandien Farms (Pty) Ltd, is looking for a Beef Farm Manager to be based at Normandien, Newcastle

Duties & Responsibilities
• Management of Livestock.
• Experience with cattle (processing of cattle, de-horning of cattle, cattle marking, injecting of cattle & classification of cattle.
• Parasite knowledge.
• Assisting cows when they go into labour.
• Experience with cattle scale.
• Nutrition.
• Husbandry.
• Market preparation of livestock.
• Disease Management.
• General maintenance of farm and equipment.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Agriculture or similar tertiary qualification.
• Between 5-10 years proven experience (agriculture, Livestock).
• Fire Fighting Experience
• Tractor experience especially the round grass baler will be an advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to communicate in English & Zulu.
• Must be willing to work overtime and some weekends..
• Hardworking and honest.
• Ms Office Proficient.
