Job Purpose

Controls procedures to process the flow of cargo from the time that the order is placed on an overseas supplier until the goods are delivered to the Importer. Includes all operational functions in a specific department/allocated section.

Key Responsibilities Of This Role
• Forwarding and clearing of import cargo in accordance with Client requirements.
• Receive instructions / purchase order from Client.
• Register purchase oder / indent on Cargowise Order Manager.
• Track Client consignments from time of receipt or shipping instruction to arrival at destination in accordance with Incoterm.
• Liaise with Emo and report on readiness status of export shipments to relevant stakeholders.
• Track documentation flow from time of shipment to time of receipt in BIL and Emo Offices.
• once pre alert is received, create clearing file on CW and update.
• Follow up with shipping line for arrival notification; direct and transshipment.
