Whangarei Hospital Commencing January 2024 This post is accredited for training by the College of Intensive Care Medicine for 6 months of core ICU training, foundation training and rural exposure requirement. It is also accredited by the colleges of anaesthesia, emergency medicine, general medicine, and rural hospital medicine training. Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) are seeking ICU registrars to join us for 2024! Whangarei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region, supported by 4 rural hospitals. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 194,000. It is a great place to work and live. Our case mix is one of the more varied and challenging in New Zealand. Our ICU is an 8 bedded level 2 ICU. We look after both children and adults requiring critical care support.
