Downer holds three (3) Facilities Maintenance and Management Services Contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for the provision of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services. Our Grounds teams play a key role in delivering services to our customer in a timely, safe, quality, and cost-effective manner. Our Grounds teams are responsible for the maintenance of camp/base grounds and delivery of grounds services to specification.

Duties for a ground’s person include, but are not limited to:
• Mowing.
• Litter removal
• Weed eating, Weeding and Weed/lichen spraying
• Curb and gutter cleaning and maintenance; and
• Plant & equipment maintenance.

• Appropriate grounds industry experience.
• Experience with various types of machinery and equipment – tractors, mowers, vehicles, and small plant.
