Job Title: Medical Coder

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties & responsibilities include but not limited to;
• Perform basic ICD-9 and CPT/HCPCS coding for assigned practices.
• Should be able to abstract clinical information from encounters/progress notes, diagnostic reports, other relevant documents and assigns appropriate ICD-10 and CPTs.
• Know several different coding systems including Level 1 CPT codes, level 2 HCPCS and ICD 10 CM and modifier usage.
