The purpose of the Health, Safety, and Security (HSS) Technical Officer in the East Area Office is to support the Area Manager and HSS Coordinator in providing adequate support to program and support teams in carrying out their activities in a safe and secure manner. The HSS Technical Officer will report to the Field Manager

Generic responsibilities
• Participate and assist in the production of all HSS related documents for Area Officeand Field Offices
• Implement delegated HSS tasks according to the planof action
• Promote and stimulate HSS risk management culture.
• Contribute to weekly East Area HSS status updates and reports
• Conduct physical verifications for all HSS relatedequipment in Area Office and Guesthouses
• Support AO and FO as required during absencesand times of increased need
• Compliance and adherenceto NRC policies, guidanceand procedures
• Assist in the production of Security Risk Assessments AO level.
