We're recruiting for a Chef to work in a high school based in Alnwick on an ongoing basis - potentially a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.

Monday - Friday, term time, 7.30am - 14.30, £16 per hour + holiday pay.

Must obtain an Enhanced Child DBS and be able to commute to NE66 postcode.

In this role you will:
• Create exciting menus using fresh ingredients ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
• Work well with the catering team to provide freshly cooked healthy food for the staff and student
• Have a full knowledge and understanding of all food standard required for a school based catering service

Main duties include:
• Food prep, production, and delivery - large volume
• Delegating to catering assistants / kitchen porters as required
• Communicating with the team to ensure smoothness of service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Meeting all on site health and safety requirements
• Manager stock control
