Introduction

Our client in the Agricultural Industry has an opportunity for an Optical Fruit Sorting Specialist to join their dynamic team in Swellendam. The role is responsible for the effective operation of fruit sorting/grading machines to ensure maximum throughput and minimum downtime while adhering to all relevant quality and safety standards. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Production Manager

Duties & Responsibilities
• Efficient operating of fruit & citrus sorting/grading machines.
• Review Production schedules, engineering specifications, process lines & flows.
• Calibration and monitoring of sizer scales and cameras.
• Ensure that quality and safety standards are always met.
• Communicate control breakdowns and changeovers (lot-end) to limit downtime.
• Extract and submit sizer reports after every changeover (lot-end) to relevant stakeholders.
• Preventative Maintenance Plan in cooperation with Maintenance Department
