• Interact with development teams to develop a strong understanding of the product and testing objectives.
• Attend software review meetings of functions implemented and changes made.
• Study software functions and changes implemented.
• During the development process:
• Test firmware informally with designers to trap programming errors before software is finalised and released.
• During formal testing:
• Design test cases to uncover software errors.
• Verify the correct implementation of software.
• Produce reports on the test results.
• Ensure functional coverage in tests.
• Defining the scope of testing within the context of the software release.
• Planning, deploying, and managing the test results.
• Prepare relevant test documentation and report on test results.
• Build a culture of continuous improvements to advance the software testing process followed by the team.
