Senior Electrician

A trade certificate as Electrician is required, as well as 5 Years’ hands-on Electrical maintenance experience and two years supervisory experience, preferably in a feed mill. Wireman’s license would be advantageous. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Results Required: - Allocate scheduled job cards to staff. - Plan scheduled maintenance with Production Shift Manager to minimize plant downtime. - Ensure that all maintenance work is of an acceptable standard and report reworks. - Ensure that allocated job cards are timeously attended to. - Ensure that breakdowns are immediately attended to, including after-hours call-outs. - Follow up causes of breakdowns and suggest measures to prevent re-occurrence. - Ensure workshop equipment is maintained in good working order. - Follow up and report on job cards issued, in progress and outstanding. - Identify minor projects, repairs and refurbishment work that can be performed in-house.
