A Blue Chip Retail is offering a very exciting opportunity for an experienced butcher to join our team as a controller.

Duties & Responsibilities

Packing of Meat
• To pack meat into either retail or bulk packaging for the further sells on to customers and consumers in the store that you operate in,
• To operate the pricing scale and price meat products that have been packed in teatil packs for the furthers sells onto customers and consumers alike
• Merchandising of retail meat cuts in butchery cabinets

Quality Control
• To ensure that the meat that has been cut or processed is fresh correctly packed and merchandised in butchery cabinets, sell-buy date policy been followed
• Checking on sell-buy dates, bloody and broken packs on butchery cabinet shelves
• Assist with stock rotation and storage management of meat and meat related items

Food safety and Hygiene
• Ensure that he/she complies with all food safety and hygiene policy
