Introduction

A leading manufacturing company in Pietermaritzburg is seeking a General Manager: Sales to join their dynamic team. The successful incumbent can be based in Durban, Pietermaritzburg or in Johannesburg. The purpose of the role is to

drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales, forging strong relationships with

customers and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and

ensures its strong presence in both local and international markets. The position reports directly to

the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Primarily focused on developing sales into new geographies and to new customers particularly in Sub Saharan Africa
• Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying and implementing the integration of new markets and company agents with company strategies and operations;
• Examines risks and potentials for the business opportunities and potential in-country agents;
