Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Hargeisa District, responsible for managing and developing dryland agricultural projects. The Dryland Agriculture Specialist will oversee crop production and irrigation, develop and implement new technologies to optimize yield and quality, and work closely with farmers and local communities to improve agricultural practices and promote sustainable development.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in dryland agriculture management, crop production, and irrigation systems
• Strong knowledge of agricultural technologies, including precision farming, conservation agriculture, and integrated pest management
• Experience in soil fertility, composting, and organic farming
• Excellent skills in project management, budgeting, and proposal development
