Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is an independent, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to melanoma research, care and education with offices in Sydney, Wagga Wagga, Perth and Hobart. MIA is strongly supportive of the provision of skin cancer detection and care services in regional Australia.

The Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis (ACEMID) is a cohort study investigating the provision of a national network of cutting-edge skin imaging technology to advance the detection and management of melanoma.

MIA is already a partner on the ACEMID cohort study with one of the 3D Total Body Photography machines located at its main patient facility in Sydney. We were one of the first sites to open and to date have enrolled more than 900 participants to the study.
