Task

We need the support of volunteers for several volunteer roles which ensure the smooth operation of our parkrun each week...
• Marshals: Volunteer Marshalls will steward/marshal the run route each week. Volunteers will signpost the route, encourage all participants, ensure participants are running on the right overtaking on the left, and making sure all participants stay on the course. Marshals must stay in their positions until the Tail Walker has passed them.
• Time Keepers and Barcode Scanners: Using the parkrun app on your mobile phone, volunteers will scan barcodes for each runner and track their completion times. Training will be provided.
• Finish Token Volunteers: These volunteers hand out finish tokens in order. Everyone that completes the 5K and that enters the funnel is entitled to a position. Volunteers ensure the token being handed out is in sync with the position time recorded and remind participants to return the tokens after scanning!
