Barrydale Hand Weavers is a hand weaving craft business based in the village of Barrydale in the Western Cape. We make hand woven cotton fabrics and rugs for people’s homes and also for hotels, restaurants, safari lodges, etc. We employ around 30 people and are growing. Our weavery (production centre) is based at the Joseph Barry Distillery on Route 62 and we have a newly created retail space there as well. The majority of our business revolves around wholesale sales to our 60-plus South African stockists and our 20-plus international stockists.
