The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of two years. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with frequent travel to project countries in the region.

As Regional Climate Resilience Advisor at Welthungerhilfe (WHH), you will provide service-oriented support to WHH country programmes in the Asia / South America region on Climate Risk and Resilient Assessments & Planning, and support the development of new projects with a clear climate focus. In doing so, you will increase the effectiveness and sustainability of climate resilience programming in WHH countries, while meeting environmental compliance standards in all applicable projects. You will facilitate the uptake of environmental safeguarding tools in the countries and position the organization as a competent and recognised development and humanitarian actor in this specific area of work.
