Scope Of Position

This position is responsible for maintaining required levels of production by correcting the mechanical set-up of the IS machine to specifications, repairing/rebuilding forming equipment and mechanisms to specification, performing PMs on the IS machines, assisting with PMs on the Feeders and delivery systems, and troubleshooting and repairing the mechanical and pneumatic systems in the Forming area.

Primary Responsibilities
• Inspect, change, adjust and maintain various units of glass forming machines and related equipment to maintain acceptable production levels.
• Make repairs to forming machines and equipment
• Instruct and assist machine operators and upkeeps as needed
• Perform routine checks to ensure availability of spare equipment/report shortfalls of required parts
• Make adjustments to feeders, conveyors, stackers, ware spacing, and other equipment
• Monitor and adjust glass weight as necessary and adjust shearing of drops when necessary
