Wates are looking for a Head of Estimating to join our Construction Group.

The Head of Estimating will lead the estimating function, ensuring the adoption of new processes, upholding standards, and utilising appropriate methodologies and software to enhance accuracy and competitiveness in project pricing.

About The Role

This role is central in refining estimating procedures by analysing data trends, inflation, and industry standards, and ensuring the seamless integration of cost planning and commercial functions. The incumbent will drive the effectiveness of the estimating function, influence industry standards, and ensure the development of Estimating trainees, fostering a robust talent pipeline. While not directly managing Estimators, this role has dotted line responsibilities across regions, supporting Pre Construction Directors in achieving a consistent and effective Estimating practice.
