Our house and pets are in a rural location in Monmouthshire, between Abergavenny and Monmouth. We have 2 small dogs (dachshund & JRT) plus 5 outdoor cats, all of whom are friendly and house trained. There are several tanks of fish and, outside, a flock of chickens, geese and a pair of turkeys. We are hoping to get away for a few days and need someone who isn’t challenged by stroppy geese so can get them up in the morning and into bed at nightfall. During the day, the poultry are safe in a paddock with electric fence so don’t need too much supervision once they’re up, but they will need you to carry some water to them in buckets each morning and keep an eye on the amount of water they have available during hot weather. The dogs need a short walk (on the lead) when it’s not too hot, and 2 meals of raw meat per day. They don’t go far but if you’re keen on walking, you can leave them at home and explore the Offa’s Dyke path and local countryside walks. The garden is secure so the dogs... More Detail
