Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Workshop supervisor, the machinist is responsible for machining parts from various ferrous and nonferrous materials, as per provided blueprints.
• Operate and set up CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts, using the provided MASTERCAM program
• Interpreted technical blueprints and designs to understand the specifications and requirements of a part
• Conducted regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently
• Measure and examine completed parts to verify conformance to specifications using precision tools like micrometers and calipers
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines
• Adjust, if require, machine settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
