Your day to day duties as a General Operative are:
• General handling of steel products.
• Hand wiring of products to jigs in preparation of the galvanizing process.
• Operation of overhead crane equipment.
• Involvement in different parts of the galvanizing process where products are dipped into zinc to prevent them from rusting.
• Inspection of products throughout the process to ensure excellent quality products are produced for customers.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.

What we are looking for:
• Positive people with a can do attitude.
• Someone who enjoys working in a manual environment where heavy lifting is part of the daily activities.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or galvanizing environment would be desirable but is not essential.

What we offer
• Shifts rotate weekly as follows based on a 37.5 hour working week:
• 2 shifts available 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm
