Patent Attorney (f/m/d)

The IP department of SIG is looking for a new member of the team, located in SIG R&D center in Linnich (Germany). We are looking for an already qualified European patent attorney, or for a German patent attorney who is studying for the EQE. The preferred candidate is a team-working, professional, competent and approachable person.

Key responsibilities
• File and prosecute patent applications and design applications worldwide, including opposition, appeals, reexamination, invalidation and third-party observations, inhouse or using external outside counsels;
• Conduct patent related searches, such as prior art and technology landscape searches;
• Harvest of inventions, communicating with Tech Center & internal inventors;
• Mitigate IPR risks in business units and daily operation of the company by assessing the IPR situation, preparing and issuing professional patent related opinion, such as FTO opinions;
