my role profile - Dental Nurse

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing clinical support across your practice, working closely with our clinicians to ensure that our patients always receive the best quality dental care.
Reports to: Practice Manager or Head Nurse
Key Accountabilities

Performance
• Take ownership of daily and weekly organisation of the surgery and the decontamination room
• Work efficiently to keep to appointment times, communicate to reception about any delays and support the practice in achieving SMART diaries at all times
• Ensure surgery hygiene and infection control processes are adhered to in line with current guidance ensuring the decontamination process is followed (HTM 01-05 / WHTM 01-05)
• Maintain practice equipment in line with manufacturer’s instructions
• Help to encourage patient choice and promote consumables where opportunity allows
