38.5 hours per week

OT paid at 1.5 of day rate Mon - Sat, 2.0 of day rate for Sunday.

Our client, a large sheet metal fabricator based in Durham, are looking for a metal dresser with at least 1 years’ experience of working in a metal dressing finishing environment. Working with a variety of hand tools including electric grinders, pneumatic grinders, and pad sanding tools. Mostly dressing welds on components of various shapes and sizes ready for painting. In some instances, parts are left with a dressed finish so must be of a high standard.

Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential. The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approx. 5 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.
