Freight Forwarding Client on the East Rand in need of an Estimator, providing support by compiling estimates on all modes of transport for management, and operational staff.

Job Function
• Request and maintain a database of all relevant negotiated rates.
• Reviews information received for correctness to enable accurate estimates to be completed.
• Ensure all quotes are in writing and filed appropriately.
• Compiles estimates on all modes of transport.
• Provides accurate estimates and charges in accordance with agreed rates.
• Acknowledge requests to clients within 1 hour of receiving.
• Provides assistance to the sales team with RFQs and completion of Tenders.
• Consult with the Department Manager for approval prior to submitting estimates to clients.
• Follows up with clients regarding cost estimates and services as required.
• Refers all leads to the Sales Director for action by the sales team.
• Actively participate in sales discussions when required.
