JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide assistance to employees in the insurance program provided by the District and staff needs related to insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the information and have some knowledge of insurance.

Responsibilities
• Serve as public relations liaison in answering telephones, taking messages, returning telephone calls, and receiving visitors while providing a positive District image for all visitors and personnel who desire information and/or services.
• Notify appropriate staff members of their rights under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA).
• Facilitate the enrollment of individuals who request coverage under COBRA.
• Maintain all legally required documents related to COBRA, such as the notification letter, enrollment evidence, and requests to conclude benefits under COBRA, etc.
• Ensure the implementation of applicable components of the Affordable Health Care Act.
