Main Mission

Role

The role of a Tooling Engineer is to manage the process of tool design, tool build and tool try out, respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. The main missions of the role are to:
• Be responsible for the successful completion of tooling programs from receipt of order through a successful 'Run at Rate'.
• Track and report the status of the tooling project, following the ratio of expenses against budget and monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance (i.e. presentations, meetings, customer visits¿).
• Be in charge of communication with the customer and for providing documentation.
• Keep up to date documentation related to new tooling.
• Manage Engineer Change Requests (quoting, implementation, etc...).
• Ensure the new tooling equipment conforms with the Group's Health, Safety & Environment standards.
• Validate the tooling (Run at Rate).
• Contribute to the improvement of tooling standards.
