Winona State University invites you to join our Community of Learners as an Assistant Professor of Theatre & Dance/Dance Program Director. This is a probationary/tenure-track appointment with an expected start date of August 19, 2024. As a faculty member, you will be teaching full-time in a liberal arts environment, including courses in contemporary dance techniques, history, theory, composition and performance. Additional duties include (1) serving as the Dance Program Director; (2) overseeing the dance curriculum and minor program, with a commitment to diverse approaches to dance beyond a Eurocentric lens; (3) directing and choreographing for the Annual Main Season dance production; (4) instructing courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs; (5) engaging in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field; and (6) contributing to student growth and development including student...
