About the Position: Junior Gemologist

Joining Lotus Gemology is a unique opportunity for a gemologist with a passion for the subject. We are looking for a Junior Gemologist to operate analytical instruments as well as to be trained to conduct preliminary gemstone testing.

Hours: 9:00–18:00, Monday–Friday

Location: Silom 19 Building, Bangkok, Thailand

Salary: ฿20,000–30,000 per month

Responsibilities
• Operating equipment such as UV-Vis-NIR, Raman, FTIR, Fluorescence Spectrometer, Sarine, EDXRF, LIBS, and Micro Raman (training can be provided)
• Maintenance of instruments, including communicating with external service providers if needed
• Doing preliminary testing of colored gemstones submitted to the laboratory, with a focus on issuing reports on identity, treatment, and origin

Qualifications
• FGA/GG/AG or bachelor’s degree in gemology, earth sciences, or similar qualifications
