Description

Performs intermediate semiskilled work securing all County facilities, ensures the safety of staff and patrons by removal of hazards, cleaning and sanitizing County facilities, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building and Grounds Manager.

Examples of Duties
• Secures all County facilities and individual offices; unlocks, checks, and re-secures buildings as needed.
• Ensures the safety of staff and patrons by removal of hazards such as snow, ice salt, sand, and clutter.
• Handles, stocks and distributes chemicals and supplies in a safe manner.
• Cleans, sanitizes, stocks, and maintains public and employee restrooms and break areas.
• Sweeps, dust mops, mops, and mechanically scrub floors and stairwells.
• Vacuums carpets and floor mats.
• Performs light building maintenance; removes snow; rakes and mows; paints when necessary; performs equipment repair and product assembly.
