Buyer (Vehicle maintenance)

My client is looking for an experienced Buyer for their Vehicle Maintenance area. This will be a great opportunity for the right person to play a key role in their procurement division. Experience in an OEM in the spares and maintenance category would be a good match . Open to South African citizens and preference will be given to equity candidates.

A Diploma in CIPS, or CSCP would be advantageous or

Proven experience in purchasing in the spares and maintenance category for this role

Key functions will include
• Purchasing
• Inventory Management (using ABC analysis, EOQ and JIT principles)
• Management of stock availability
• Supplier Performance Management
• Price benchmarking
• Managing the rebate process together with procurement finance
• Store co-ordination

Competencies
• Strong understanding and experience in operational systems and procedures
• Detail orientated
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
