This position is located within Strategic Communications and Public Information Division (SCPID) in the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) with duty station Kinshasa. The incumbent will report to the Senior Communications Officer in charge of the SCPID Director’s Office.

Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Field Language Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: • Provides clear and concise verbal communication/interpretation/translation, interfacing between mission officials and local population, in support of operations and mission activities. • Translation of documents and other form of written communications from local language(s) to designated UN working language(s) and vise-versa, covering a broad range of subjects related to, but not limited to, the United Nations. • Liaises with counterparts in other sections to schedule and make administrative arrangements for...
