Job Summary The cattle manager will work closely with the Feedyard Manager to prioritize and delegate Feedyard work requirements.

The Cattle Manager, under the guidance of the Feedyard Manager, will direct, supervise and coordinate daily activities at eh Feedyard including employee supervision, posting research data, maintaining herd health programs and coordinating daily work and research activities of part-time employees.

Responsibilities and Duties Maintain communication with Feedyard manager regarding cattle handling and care Coordinate and direct supervision of all cattle handling crews Manage and motivate subordinate crew supervisors Perform discretionary decisions in the Feedyard Managers absence Distinguish and identify cattle as to quality, health, or at risk Aware of cattle nutritional and health knowledge Sort and order cattle per manager's specifications and requirements Receiving or rejection of cattle Perform proper documentation of all cattle received Schedule and...
