Monitoring the status of equipment and machinery
- Monitoring the fow of products and adjusting the speed of machinery as needed to ensure safe operation
- Communicating with other operators to coordinate activities during operations
- Maintaining equipment and machinery used in operations, including replacing parts as needed
- Inspecting equipment for defects and malfunctions, including engines and hydraulic systems
- Operating machinery required to products through pipelines, such as pumps, valves, and compressors
- Starting up or shutting down machinery or equipment used in operations
- Controlling flow rates through valves or other mechanisms to regulate pressure in the pipeline
- Conducting maintenance on pipelines to ensure they are safe for use
