Nelson Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. Cumberland head office is currently accepting applications for a licensed commercial truck or heavy-duty mechanic to maintain a varied fleet of cranes, hiabs and trucks. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in engines, electrical systems and drivetrains and have experience working on a variety of vehicles.

Responsibilities:

· Preventative Maintenance and servicing of large fleet.

· Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

· Repair vehicles as required.

· Maintain small gas-powered tools and equipment as needed.

· Must be compliant with safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

· Must have minimum Class 3 with Air Endorsement.

· Red Seal Heavy Duty or Commercial Mechanic’s ticket.

· Commercial vehicle inspector’s license.

· Minimum five years’ experience as a tradesman, with crane and hiab experience.
